i think these past 2 chapters have been setups for future events, the pendant, goggoro and edita starting a friendship, the quest to cure baldness, these are all new arcs for the characters.

This might be an opportunity for gog and elf to create a hair tonic and be friends like he wants. But i agree i don’t know where this chapter is going. It seems a let down from the previous highs.

This is why nice guys finish last because too many people will just use them instead of seeing the good qualities. His only saving grace is hes overlord strong. which comes out when people need a hero. But conflict isn’t always there to test people’s metal. If Tanaka had some swagger this would be a different book.

Honestly if I was in his shoes from the first chapter I would have followed the robin hood band of theives. Of curse that would have been a completly differnt story. He would have at least got the prise and honor he desirved from the people he helped. Instead of him haveing to increas the number of people he is subservant too.
