This is typical Tanaka. And typical antagonist for this series. The antagonists in this series though typically get shamed and destroyed at some point, like that teacher who tried pulling similar deception, got publicly shamed and then had her head clean knocked off with nobody caring afterwards.

It tells a lot about the guy’s character that he even plays by the rules when he doesn’t even need to considering how powerful he is. Aside from a few characters, Tanaka can basically kill anyone in that fantasy world with very little effort.
